TOGO PROJECT

For several years, DK-BEL has been developing inclusive artistic projects in Africa in partnership with artists, associations, and cultural organisations committed to promoting inclusive dance.

In March 2026, an initial residency in Lomé focused on sharing and teaching the choreographic piece C'est BEAU! with Togolese dancers, including artists from Kégou Arts and Assib'Arts. The residency brought together disabled and non-disabled artists through a creative choreographic exchange.

This project forms part of a wider movement to develop the first Pan-African Inclusive Dance Encounters. The initiative aims to help change perceptions of disability, highlight the cultural richness of African countries, and encourage young artists to engage with inclusion issues.

Several partners are supporting this initiative, including Togo Créative, Brin Chocolat, Assib'Arts, APHMOTO, Ames Décors, and a range of Togolese cultural stakeholders.
