DK-BEL IN SCHOOLS
Funded by the Cité Éducative of Villiers-le-Bel, the “DK-BEL in Schools” project aims to promote the inclusion of neurodivergent peopleby raising young people’s awareness of difference from an early age.
The project is grounded in the core values championed by DK-BEL: solidarity, empathy, kindness, and respect for everyone.
Inclusive dance is a powerful way to support the integration of disabled people into society and to help change perceptions of difference.
Activities include inclusive dance workshops led by company professionals alongside dancers with disabilities; training sessions bringing together pupils and young people from health and social care organisations; and the creation of “Kindness Day.”
The project also encourages links between participating schools and local health and social care organisations.
Each year, a final presentation celebrates the activities carried out and the experiences shared by participants.
