Everyone’s Project

In September 2022, DK‑BEL led Everyone’s Project, originally planned for Tampere, Finland, but relocated to Athens due to the war in Ukraine.

The initiative brought together 40 young people with and without disabilities, along with their helpers, from five countries: France, Greece, Lebanon, Portugal, and Finland.

Through dance and singing workshops, round tables, and collaborative performances across the city, participants discovered art as a universal language that transcended cultural and linguistic barriers. Highlights included performances at multiple venues, concerts with local musicians, and shared cultural experiences such as traditional meals and visiting sites of historical importance.

The project promoted European unity, solidarity, and inclusion, encouraging acceptance of differences and empowering young people to become ambassadors of culture and citizenship. Its impact extended beyond participants, fostering networks across Europe and the Mediterranean, strengthening youth work practices, and inspiring active citizenship through art.
