En Place !
Initiated in 2020 and carried out in June 2022 after several COVID‑related delays, the EN PLACE project was designed to support young people facing social, economic, and personal challenges by helping them regain confidence, discover their skills, and build a vision for the future. Led by DK‑BEL in partnership with Kimera (Portugal), the project brought together 25 participants from France and Portugal for a week of artistic exchange in Lisbon’s district of Cova da Moura.
Through workshops in dance, theatre, writing, music, and video production, participants collaborated to create an original performance and a professionally produced video clip filmed in the streets of the neighbourhood.
The project fostered autonomy, self‑expression, and emotional resilience, while encouraging free speech and intercultural dialogue.
By combining creativity with social inclusion, EN PLACE empowered young people to find their voice in European society and strengthened bonds between communities through art.
