Everyone’s Performance 1.0

Creation of an international collective of inclusive dance artists and their first performance

In co-production with: Accessible Arts and Culture Association Finland and the City of Villiers-le-Bel

On both the international and local stages, the organizations leading the project — ACCAC Global and DK-BEL — have been developing and promoting inclusive arts and disability-led arts, as well as equality and inclusion within communities, for more than ten years.

For years, Sophie Bulbulyan and Kirsi Mustalahti have shared their reflections on the challenges of inclusive art abroad and on the existing gaps in areas such as funding, touring opportunities, education, and the career

development of disabled dancers at the international level.

In Tampere, where ACCAC Finland is based, the year 2020 was designated the Year of Equality. The concept of the ACCAC event and the international movement for equality through art and culture — with delegations from Finland, South Korea, Egypt, Nepal, Morocco, and Algeria — return to their founding city of Tampere.

The ACCAC Culture 2.0 Festival Week will take place from September 21 to 27, 2020, bringing together art and culture professionals and enthusiasts, festival organizers, and policymakers from over 25 countries. The week will feature a performing arts program, the Anamesa Festival with its city parade, as well as art workshops and training sessions.

Everyone’s Performance – Edition 1 is part of the festival’s main program and will be presented for the first time in an international context on September 24, 2020.
