Karla Brooker and Sophie Bulbulyan established a DK-BEL organisation in New York in 2022, with non-profit status 501(c)(3). Our goal is to establish a solid partnership with American institutions that share our commitment to ensuring that everyone has access to art. Through the organisation of events, artistic partnerships, residencies, seminars, and training sessions, DK-BEL's network has already grown throughout Europe and Africa in support of this shared goal. In our ideal world, everyone will have access to art, dance, and culture, irrespective of their circumstances, upbringing, or religious views. To accomplish this, we intend to start and join international networks of like-minded partners who will use dance to spread awareness of diversity, equality, and inclusion.

We are working in partnership with SmArt Company and its creative director Roxane Butterfly to construct a collaborative project in New York in 2026. To be continued!
